Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Theodyx does not “sell” your personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) defines those terms. We do not exchange personal information with data brokers, and we do not allow third parties to use it to target advertising to you across other sites or services.
Because we do not engage in that kind of selling or sharing, there is, in practical terms, nothing of that nature for you to opt out of. We nonetheless honor opt-out requests, and we want you to be able to record your preference clearly. We also recognize a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser or a browser extension as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information from that browser. If you would like to submit an opt-out request directly, you may do so using the steps under How to Submit a Request below.
Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information
Some of the information we collect through the scouting application — for example, photos and full-length images, precise account identifiers, and information about minors — may qualify as sensitive personal information. We already limit our use of this information to the purposes the law permits without a further opt-out, and only to what is reasonably necessary to:
- provide and operate the Service and our scouting application;
- review and evaluate applications and consider possible representation; and
- keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use it for advertising or for any purpose that would require offering a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” choice under California law. You may still ask us to confirm this and to limit our use of your sensitive personal information to these permitted purposes, and we will honor that request.
Minors
The personal information of applicants who are minors is never sold and never shared, and photos and full-length images of minors are treated as sensitive personal information. Access to this information is restricted, and we minimize what we collect and retain. You can read more about how we protect minors in our Privacy Policy.
How to Submit a Request
To exercise either choice on this page — to opt out of any sale or sharing, or to ask us to limit the use of sensitive personal information — email us at contact@theodyx.com and tell us what you are requesting. It helps if you include the email address and any social handles you used in your application so we can locate your information.
How we verify your request. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by matching the details you provide against the information already in our records and by corresponding with you at the email address associated with your application. We may ask for additional information if we cannot verify you from what you have given us. We use information provided in a request only to verify and respond to it.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof that you gave them permission to act for you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly with us.
No discrimination or retaliation. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of these privacy choices. Exercising a choice will not affect how your scouting application is evaluated, and you will receive the same quality of service.
